Foundation 

Our Foundation Learning Centre provides a vibrant learning space for students in the first year of their formal education. Incorporating a design centred around contemporary learning and teaching practices, the Learning Centre provides a variety of spaces for students to experience and learn a variety of different skills. Literacy is recognised as one of the most essential building blocks of learner growth. St. Michael's is committed to evidence-informed practice and will implement a system-wide Structured Literacy Approach using MultiLit's InitiaLit, an evidence-based whole-class literacy program providing all children with the essential core knowledge and strong foundations to become successful readers and writers. 

Operating with a 1:1 iPad setting, learners are encouraged to continue to develop their understanding of themselves as individuals.

Grade 1/2

We provide structured and evidence-based learning utilising the latest neuroscience and a structured, knowledge-rich curriculum, we ensure students build deep understanding. A low-variance curriculum provides students with a consistent learning experience that allows our teachers to focus on individual student needs.
