St Michael's Primary School is proud to be part of the Magnify Sandhurst Project, which combines evidence-based practices in teaching and learning to support each student's unique needs, strengths, and goals. The Magnify program focuses on strengthening core areas like literacy and numeracy, building supportive classroom environments, and integrating Catholic values in daily learning. We are committed to improving outcomes and providing a program where every student can flourish, inspired by the mantra, "Every Student, Every Teacher, Every School, Every Day!"
 
Magnify Sandhurst is an ambitious, research and evidence informed wide wide-ranging program being implemented at St Michael’s Primary School and across all Catholic Education Sandhurst Schools. The Magnify project includes: 
  • Catholic Mission
  • Neuroscience of Learning
  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Behaviour Curriculum: Classroom Routines and Management
  • Instructional Coaching for teachers

Magnify provides teaches with a structured low-variance and knowledge-rich curriculum. This will allow teachers to adapt teaching and learning for their students' needs and create a learning environment that is supportive and challenging, providing opportunities for all students to achieve their full potential adn flourish to the fullness of their humanity. Teachers will ensure that students are actively engaged in their learning and can apply their knowledge in meaningful ways. They will focus on responsive teaching to student engagement and learning through formative assessment, guided and independent practice, providing a strong foundation for learning before advancing to complex tasks.

St Michael's curriculum program includes Religious Education, English, Mathematics, Auslan, Humanities, Science, Health & Physical Education, Digital & Design Technologies, The Arts and Respectful Relationships.

All curriculum content comes from the Victorian Curriculum 2.0 with the Catholic Education Sandhurst Ltd's - Source of Life our Religious Education Curriculum.
